We had the pleasure of meeting Sue & Simone (pink & blue masks) at Sunny Pint this evening. We were given three free samples of beer before I chose the Saugatuck Neapolitan Milk Stout which consisted of milk stout with strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. My husband chose Infinite Al Works “Into the Dark Roast” Imperial Stout with Coffee. You can also order a “flight” which consists of 4 different beers. They offer food specials throughout the week which is listed on our website. This is an opportunity to “drink outside the box”.

Stop by and enjoy a nice cold pint and tell them that villager eats sent you!!!!!

tACO tUESDAY

BELLE GLADE COUNTRY CLUB – Just had dinner at Belle Glade Country Club. I had the $7.99 taco dinner. As you can see by the picture it was well worth the money. I had one chicken and one beef taco served with black beans topped with cheese and rice in a tomato base. I topped off the tacos with a margarita for $3. Well that was two margaritas. I just couldn’t resist. Belle Glade Country Club is a must if you are looking for good Mexican food at a reasonable price. There is several outside seating areas and the view of the golf course was just beautiful. If you didn’t visit Belle Glade tonight, put it on your must list for next week.

TACO TUESDAY

The Taco was first introduced to the United States in 1905. Mexican migrants were coming in to work on railroads and other jobs and started to bring their delicious food with them. … In fact, Americans first became exposed to tacos through Mexican food carts in Los Angeles that were run by women called “chili queens”.

Check out all of the specials found on villagereats.com and tell your friends “Get off the couch, It’s Taco Tuesday”.

History of City Fire

Did you know that the flame between CITY and Fire has a history? The flame represents the torch/flame on the Statue of Liberty. My husband and I were lucky enough to receive a tour of the restaurant by owner Gina Buell last evening. Next time you sit down for a delicious meal at City Fire, take the time to view the pictures on the walls. They all have an amazing history and story. Gina shared her family history with us and we want to make sure that we share it with you. Visit City Fire’s website https://cityfirerestaurants.com/story/ and read their story. Walls are just walls until you know the whole story.

CITY FIRE – SUMTER LANDING

city fire steak w crab

Great evening at City Fire in Lake Sumter Landing. Gina Buell, owner and Denver Bronco lover Liz are holding my new sign “villagereats.com” which will be located in the outside bar area. My husband and I were served the special “Surf & Turf”, prepared by John & Cy in the third picture. The steak was topped with crab meat and it just melted in our mouths. The mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious as well. First time EVER that I didn’t use steak sauce.

Thank you City Fire for supporting Villager Eats. Love you guys!
